Gaming alone?

Do you prefer playing video games alone?

Or do you prefer to play against friends (in person) or online against the world?

I prefer solo play, but I will play against friends, too.

When I comes to story driven games or games where you can build things, I much prefer playing alone.  But for multiplayer games and repeative games (like looters, extra extraction, shooters, etc) I much prefer to have with others.
